Sorry for the delay in posting. More than a month, shame on me. I've been spending the time mostly resting my legs, four marathons in less than two years can tax ones body so at times it's important to rest yourself. I've decided whatever marathon I do next (oh yeah I've decided to do another) I will work hard on my conditioning. I want to really put myself in the best possible shape I can, and that really starts today. It means eating healthier, taking care of myself a bit better and so on.
There is a lot of physical advantages gained by running and the best part early was it didn't require me to change my diet a lot to drop some weight. Being out of shape it was easy. But if I really want to advance myself to the next level it's going to take commitment and dedication. Cutting down on my alcohol intake, fast foods and hitting the dreaded gym more. As I've said I'm not a big gym person but my work has opened a mini gym so I can do a quick workout there and still get home and do some running at my regular gym later in the evening.
This doesn't mean I don't treat myself, because well we are living for a reason and we should enjoy what we do. But it should be just that a treat. Not a frequent occurrence. Change in any lifestyle is hard no doubt and I'm sure it will be very difficult at first, but one thing I know is if I can train and run a marathon I can do this. And besides what's wrong with really liking what you see in the mirror? I like who I am but want to see how far I can take myself in a healthy and responsible way. This doesn't mean that I stop eating or deprive myself of anything. That's not good at all. I love to cook, I like a good steak and a burger with fries. But at the same time I need to realize that I need to have more balance and that can only be a good thing.
Here are some photos form my most recent marathon in Arizona. Thank you again to all my supporters I love you guys and would never have been able to do any of this without your support!

SO with that healthy eating and happy running!
